CARL REH WINERY

Oprisor Wine Estate cultivates a vineyard of 250 hectares of vines located on the Drincea river valley, in the south west of Romania. The area, blessed with favorable climatic seasons for wine grapes, enjoys a specific and unique terroir. Mild winters but with abundant snowfalls, followed by quiet springs however with sufficient rainfall, followed by sunny and warm summers, all these provide perfect conditions for tasty grapes, ripe at full maturity and very juicy fruit. Only 1.2km away from the vineyard is the winery, where the grapes are crushed then the fresh juice is going to be fermented and at the end the wines are made with care, creativity, involvement and using the latest winemaking technologies.
Oprisor Wine Estate grows and produces 13 varieties of wine, starting with Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Dornfelder, and two authentic Romanian varieties, Tamaioasa and Feteasca Neagra.
