The story of Crama Girboiu begins in 2005, a time when the founder Constantin Girboiu was flirting with the idea of a challenge that would bring him close to the things he has always felt connected to, namely wines . In this context, the opportunity arose to purchase the former lands and buildings of the Dumbraveni IAS. The connection with the world of wine came as an immediate and natural consequence, a business kept in the family throughout the generations.
Over the years, the family’s commitment has been constant: the acquisition of new vineyards, improvements in the agronomic field and the modernization of the cellar.
From the harvesting of the grapes to the processing in the winery, following the latest technological trends, the wine is aged in new vats and barrels, later passing through the most modern bottling line.
In the perimeter of the Girboiu Winery’s approximately 180 hectares of vineyards, divided into smaller individual plots, there are the best plantations: the Cotesti terroir.
