Unicom Production SRL, based in Ceptura, in the heart of Romania’s renowned Dealu Mare wine region, is the company behind the Davino brand – one of the most recognized and respected names in the Romanian premium wine sector. Established in the early 2000s, Unicom Production was among the first private producers to embrace a fully modern and quality-focused approach in post-communist Romania.
With 89 hectares of estate-owned vineyards and an annual production of approximately 450,000 bottles, the company is dedicated exclusively to the HoReCa and specialty retail sectors. Its portfolio, commercialized under the Davino brand, includes limited-edition wines crafted with a strong focus on terroir expression, low yields, and long-term aging potential.
The winemaking philosophy, led by oenologist Bogdan Costăchescu, is centered around precision, authenticity, and balance. Combining indigenous Romanian grape varieties with noble international cultivars, Davino wines reflect the unique character of Dealu Mare and are intended for discerning wine lovers and fine dining establishments.
Sustainability plays a key role in vineyard management: all viticultural practices are designed to minimize environmental impact, with strict control of chemical inputs, manual interventions to preserve biodiversity, and responsible water and soil management. This approach ensures not only the health of the vineyard ecosystem but also the long-term consistency and purity of the wines.
