VITICOLA SARICA NICULITEL

The Sarica Niculitel Winery is located in one of the oldest wine regions in Romania. Archaeological evidence was found that shows that vines were cultivated and wine was made even 3,000 years before our era. We know that there was a continuity in the cultivation of the vineyard until today.

Terroir
In addition to the long viticultural tradition in the area, there are three other main aspects that, together, define the unique terroir of Sarica Niculitel and give personality to the wines produced here.

The loess type soil:
The soil in the vineyard is predominantly loess type: a mixture of fine particles (limestone, sand, clay, clay) carried and gathered by the wind over hundreds of thousands of years. It is a soil rich in minerals and, thanks to its granulation, it allows good water permeability and allows the vine roots to go deep where they find water resources even in dry years.
