Oprişor Wine Estate (Crama Oprişor) is a family business developed in Romania by the Carl Reh family from Leiwen, Germany. 106 years ago, in 1920, the Reh family began producing and trading wines fermented in the Moselle Valley. With great perseverance and love for fine wines, the Reh family business has spanned more than a century, going through periods of crisis, war, and hardship while ardently maintaining its high standards of quality. Now, in the contemporary era, starting in 1994, in addition to owned winery “Reh Kendermann” in Bingen am Rhein, the Reh family has invested in southwestern Romania, in Oprişor rolling hills, an exceptional area for cultivating tasty grapes and obtaining full-body wines. Today, we, Oprişor Wine Estate (Crama Oprişor), cultivate an area of 252 hectares of vineyards with 13 internationally renowned varieties and 2 authentic Romanian varieties.
