Winery & Vineyards
We cultivate over 250 hectares of vineyards, primarily in Dealu Mare, Romania’s renowned “land of red wines,” situated on the 45th parallel north — alongside Bordeaux and Tuscany.

Our winery, located in Prahova County, includes:

• 5,000-ton grape processing capacity
• 37,900 hl storage capacity
• Over 500 oak barriques
• Modern production and temperature-controlled warehousing facilities

We are proud to be Romania’s first wine producer awarded the Grand Gold Medal at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, a recognition of both heritage and continuous quality pursuit.

Rhein & CIE Azuga 1892 – The Sparkling Wine Legacy
Our heritage extends beyond still wines through Rhein & CIE Azuga 1892, established in 1892 and considered one of the oldest continuously operating sparkling wine cellar in Romania.
Here, traditional-method sparkling wines are crafted and bottle-aged with precision and patience. Unlike most European sparkling cellars built underground, Rhein’s cellars are uniquely constructed above ground, with double walls and natural mountain ventilation that create an ideal microclimate for bottle fermentation and maturation.
For more than a century, Rhein has represented refinement, craftsmanship, and consistency — and remains a cornerstone of our identity.
We do not preserve tradition by standing still.
